Crunchy Apple Tuna Mix (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Fresh Produce

01 - 1 medium Granny Smith apple, chopped into small cubes
02 - 1 medium onion, cut into tiny pieces (roughly 1 1/3 cups)
03 - 1 ripe avocado, scooped out and cut into chunks

→ Protein & Nuts

04 - 4 cans (5 oz each) tuna packed in water, thoroughly drained
05 - 1/2 cup almonds sliced or walnuts broken up

→ Dressing

06 - 3/4 cup regular mayonnaise, adjust to your liking
07 - 1/2 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice, add more if needed
08 - 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper, change amount to suit your taste

# Instructions:

01 - Warm your nuts in an ungreased pan over medium heat until they turn golden and give off a nutty smell. Let them cool down afterward.
02 - Make sure to get all the water out of your tuna cans by pushing down hard on the lids. This stops your dish from getting too wet.
03 - Put your dried tuna, apple chunks, onion bits, and avocado pieces in a large bowl. Mix in mayo, a few drops of lemon juice, and some black pepper. Throw in your toasted nuts and stir everything gently.

01 - Getting all the water out of the tuna is super important for a firm texture
02 - Try to eat within a day since the avocado will start turning brown
