Miso Butter Cabbage Wedges (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Essentials

01 - 1 tablespoon miso paste
02 - 3 tablespoons butter, split into two portions
03 - 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
04 - 1 sweetheart cabbage (often called pointed or hispi), quartered
05 - 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
06 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven ready at 400°F (200°C) and cut the cabbage into four big pieces.
02 - Mix together 2 tablespoons of your softened butter and the miso paste in a small bowl. Use this buttery goodness to cover every surface of the cabbage, top to bottom.
03 - Lay the cabbage pieces on a baking sheet and cook in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Look for that perfect crispy outside with a slight crunch inside.
04 - Using a small pan, melt the leftover butter, then stir in the breadcrumbs and garlic powder. Keep stirring until the mix turns golden. Pull it off the heat right away to keep it from burning.
05 - Take the cabbage out and sprinkle on the toasted breadcrumbs. If you want, toss a bit of fresh parsley over the top before digging in.

# Notes:

01 - Roasted cabbage gets a tasty Asian-style upgrade. Miso boosts the flavor, while buttery breadcrumbs bring crunch to this side dish.
