Strawberry Cheesecake Dump (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cake Layers & Cream

01 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, pure and fragrant
02 - 1 cup milk, make sure it's not cold straight from the fridge
03 - 15 ounces yellow cake mix, your average boxed variety
04 - 2 cups strawberries, chopped into small pieces that are easy to eat
05 - ½ cup granulated sugar for the perfect amount of sweetness
06 - 8 ounces cream cheese, let it soften at room temp first
07 - ½ cup unsalted butter, melted until smoothly liquid

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven ready by preheating it to 350°F (175°C). This makes sure everything bakes evenly right from the start.
02 - Rub butter or spray all over your baking dish so the cake comes out easily after baking.
03 - Mix together soft cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until it's silky smooth and lump-free.
04 - In another bowl, stir your cake mix together with melted butter and milk. Mix it until no dry bits are left.
05 - Pour half the cake batter into your dish, and spread it flat. Add a layer of strawberries, followed by spoonfuls of the cream cheese mix. Cover it all up with the rest of your batter, then finish with more strawberries on top.
06 - Stick it in the oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until the top turns golden and a toothpick comes out clean when you test it.

# Notes:

01 - Fresh strawberries that are in season will make this even tastier and full of flavor!
02 - Mixing a little lemon zest into the cream cheese adds a cheerful, citrusy pop.
