Mix together soft cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until it's silky smooth and lump-free.

In another bowl, stir your cake mix together with melted butter and milk. Mix it until no dry bits are left.

Pour half the cake batter into your dish, and spread it flat. Add a layer of strawberries, followed by spoonfuls of the cream cheese mix. Cover it all up with the rest of your batter, then finish with more strawberries on top.
