Effortless Green Crinkle Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Dough

01 - 1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil
02 - Two eggs (large size)
03 - One box (15.25 oz) of white cake mix, about 3 cups
04 - 1/4 tsp gel food coloring, Kelly green shade

→ Coating

05 - 6 tbsp powdered sugar
06 - 3 tbsp granulated sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Dump the cake mix, oil, and eggs into a big bowl. Use a spatula to stir everything together until the dough becomes sticky and smooth.
02 - Squeeze in the green food gel and keep mixing until the color’s consistent throughout. You’ll get a bold green shade!
03 - Wrap the dough in plastic and pop it in the fridge for about half an hour. This helps you handle it easier later and keeps the cookies in shape while baking.
04 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Use parchment paper on a cookie sheet to stop any sticking and make cleanup simple.
05 - Grab two small bowls—one for powdered sugar and the other for granulated sugar. These will be your coating stations.
06 - Scoop out 1 tablespoon of dough, roll it into a ball, and coat it well in granulated sugar first. Once covered, roll it in powdered sugar until it's fully covered.
07 - Put the coated balls onto the parchment-lined sheet with about 2 inches of space between each so they have room to spread.
08 - Place the tray in your preheated oven and let the cookies bake for 9 to 12 minutes. They'll be done when they’ve set but are still soft inside.
09 - Take the cookies out and let them rest on the tray for 5 minutes. Then move them onto a wire rack or paper towel to cool completely.
10 - Once cooled, keep them fresh by sealing them in an airtight container.

# Notes:

01 - These bright green cookies are perfect for any holiday party, especially for St. Paddy's celebrations.
02 - The cookie's crackled effect pops as it bakes, with the white sugar coating standing out against the fun green color.
03 - Stick with gel food coloring because it keeps the dough firm and provides a richer color than liquid varieties.
04 - Seal them up in an airtight container, and these cookies will stay good for up to five days.
