Effortless Matcha Tea How to (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Matcha Base

01 - 2 ounces hot water (about 175°F)
02 - ¼ teaspoon top-notch matcha powder

→ Additions

03 - Honey or maple syrup to taste (optional)
04 - 6 ounces steamed milk or extra hot water (almond, oat, dairy, coconut, etc.)

# Instructions:

01 - Pass the matcha powder through a fine mesh strainer into a small mug or bowl. This smooths out any clumps to make your drink silkier.
02 - Add 2 ounces of hot water (around 175°F). Whisk quickly with a bamboo whisk or even a small regular whisk, moving it side to side until it’s all dissolved and a fluffy foam appears.
03 - Mix in 6 ounces of your favorite steamed milk or extra hot water. Give it another whisk so it’s nice and frothy. If the flavor’s too strong, drizzle in a little honey or maple syrup to soften it.

# Notes:

01 - Matcha brands can taste different. If you find yours too strong or bitter, try a bit of sweetener to balance it out.
02 - Keep your water around 175°F (79°C). Water that's too hot can make matcha taste sharp or bitter.
03 - Whisk in quick, side-to-side movements for that classic foam and to mix the powder well.
