A Kitchen Love Story
The kitchen has always been the heart of my home. I grew up in a small Minnesota town, learning to cook from two incredible women—my grandmother Sofia, who could turn fresh garden vegetables into soul-soothing soup, and my mom Maria, whose bread filled the house with warmth every Sunday. Sitting on a stool, watching their hands move with purpose and care, I learned early on that cooking isn’t just about recipes—it’s about connection, comfort, and creating something meaningful from simple ingredients.
From Home Cook to Culinary Explorer
My path took me far beyond that little kitchen. I spent five years exploring Europe and Asia, cooking in local restaurants and learning from home cooks. In Tuscany, I rolled pasta with an Italian nonna; in Hong Kong, I folded dim sum alongside chefs who'd been at it for decades. These experiences opened my eyes to the ways food brings people together—across languages, borders, and traditions. They didn’t just change how I cook—they changed why I cook.
Bringing TastefullyRecipe to Life
TastefullyRecipe is where I bring all of that to the table. Every recipe I share is rooted in those early family moments and shaped by the places I’ve been since. I keep things simple, approachable, and full of heart—whether it’s a cozy weeknight meal or a dish for gathering around with friends. My hope is that these recipes help you find joy in your own kitchen, just like I did in mine. Because the best meals aren’t just cooked—they’re remembered.
