04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
05 - 1 tablespoon softened butter
06 - 1 pound ground beef
07 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
08 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
09 - Black pepper, freshly cracked, to taste

→ Burger Assembly

10 - Pinch of garlic powder and salt
11 - 1 pack (12 rolls) King's Hawaiian butter rolls
12 - 2 teaspoons sesame seeds (white)
13 - 3 tablespoons butter, melted
14 - 16 slices of American cheese (preferably Boar's Head)

→ Burger Sauce

15 - 2 teaspoons sugar
16 - 1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar
17 - 1/2 cup mayo
18 - Salt and pepper as needed
19 - 2 tablespoons sweet relish made from pickles
20 - 1/4 cup ketchup

# Instructions:

01 - Fire up your oven to 350°F and spread softened butter on the bottom of a baking sheet.
02 - In a medium pan, add olive oil over medium-high heat. Toss in the onions and sauté for 3 minutes. Add the ground beef and break it up as it cooks, about 6-7 minutes, until there's no pink left. Once done, drain off the grease and mix in the mustard, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and some pepper. Let it cook for another minute.
03 - Cut the rolls in half, placing the bottoms onto the buttered baking dish. Layer 8 cheese slices down first, then evenly spread the beef mixture on top—press it down gently. Top it off with the remaining cheese slices and the roll tops.
04 - In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with a pinch of salt and garlic powder. Brush this mix over the tops of the rolls, then sprinkle on sesame seeds. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is gooey and the buns are warm. If the tops start browning too fast, cover loosely with foil.
05 - While the rolls are baking, use a whisk to mix mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl until it's smooth.

# Notes:

01 - Perfect for game days or hosting friends at home
02 - Double the ingredients to make up to 24 sliders
03 - Watch the buns closely while they bake to avoid over-browning
